How many years have you been going fishing? 25
How did you get started in fishing? Worm fishing on the River Lowther in Cumbria, with my Father.
Most memorable fishing moment? Winning Team gold at the World Fly Fishing Championships in 2009
What do you love most about fishing? Stunning natural environments and the whole experience of travelling to new places to fish.
Who do you most admire and why? Many people for different reasons but a shortlist would include Andy Mill for his Tarpon fishing skill, John Shaner for his Fly tying ability and Pascal Cognaird for his multiple Individual wins in World Championships.
How many International competitions have you been involved in? 4 Home Internationals, 2 European Championships and 3 World Championships, not including my selections for 2010.
Favourite UK fishing location? River Eamont, Cumbria
If you didn't fish what else would you do as a hobby?Anything but golf - probably back to a martial art of some kind.
If you could choose one celebrity to fish with, who would it be? Not sure but I did once fish on Michael Keaton's (Batman) section of river in Montana - fishing with Batman would be different...
If you could choose one place in the world you could fish where would it be? I would go back to New Zealand.
Have you ever caught anything interesting other that a fish? I caught an AK47 assault rifle last year in a South Korean river, close to the border with North Korea, I hooked it in the end of the barrel on a black gold head - it was rusted out but still had the magazine in the clip - I hugely regret not getting a picture.
Out of the team, who makes the best tea or coffee? I don't think any one of them is capable of constructing either, however I think Dave Parker once made me one - but he left the tea bag in, so that doesn't count.
Three Favourite Flies? Peach shrimp, Retirer dry, black taddy.
Your Team Nickname I have many - most abusive in some way, Hobnob, Happy, Howie,"H" and Mr Crowston
Who is the team joker? It varies, no one in particular except when Iain Barr is fishing and then it's definitely him...
Most embarrassing moment during fishing? Telling a boat partner to stop ducking as I had never in 20 years of fishing hooked my boat partner - and then hooking him in the top lip next cast.
Biggest moaner of the team? That would be the manager - he is probably de-selecting me as he reads this. 2nd would be me as I am also a world class moaner.
