Mike is a qualified Instructor S.T.A.N.I.C. in single-handed casting and fly dressing.
Mike's speciality is Stillwaters and fishing the Loughs of Ireland. He is renowned throughout Ireland as one of the leading Anglers in this field and is to the fore in all methods for catching wild Irish Brownies
Mike is an accomplished Competition Angler and has represented Ireland 6 times.
World Championship: (Sweden 2001 and Spain 2003)
Home International: (Menteith ‘05, Brenig ‘06, Trawsfynedd ‘08 and Menteith ‘09). He was the top Irish angler in Trawsfynedd 2008 and the Connacht Provincial Lake Champion on Lough Corrib in 2009.
Mike is also very much involved with youth coaching at both Provincial and National level, both in casting and fly-dressing.
Mike lives near the shores of Lough Corrib and fishes and guides on the great lakes of Corrib and Mask regularly.
