At the age of 34 Nick has been fishing for 30 of those years! 

A passionate angler he devoted his life to teaching people to fly fish in his mid teens and now works as a full time fly fishing instructor and guide.  His passion and energy has built his business into one of the most popular and respected fly fishing schools in the UK.   In 2006 a retail sector was opened in the form of Hart Flyshop Ltd, a specialist fly fishing store set on the banks of a beautiful small still water fishery.

Nicks fascination has taken him all over the world on both a leisure and professional basis to countries such as New Zealand, America, Africa and Argentina in pursuit of a diverse range of species.  A keen angling journalist Nick writes regular articles in the U.K's most popular still water magazine ‘Trout Fisherman' and has made numerous TV appearances on Discovery Channel (Fishing on the Edge & Wild Fishing), BBC2 (The Urban Chef) and BBC Radio 5 (Dirty Tackle).   During 2008 Nick has been filming a series of brand new fly fishing shows providing an energetic introduction to a range of opportunities such as Pike on the fly, Wild River Trout and Salmon caught using single handed rods.

Nick has been a member of the England Fly Fishing Squad in the past and is also the author of "The Essential Guide to Fly Fishing".  He lives in Devon with his wife Sue and two young children.
